DavidsTea Frequent Steeper!

Yikes. It’s been a while… hello, blogosphere!

Life has been pretty busy lately and as much as I would’ve loved to update my blog periodically [heck, even sporadically], I unfortunately haven’t had much spare time lately to do so. I have a few backlogged events and ideas that I’ve been wanting to post about, so as soon as I get a chance to write up a storm I’ll share those with you! I hope everyone has been doing well

So today I was looking into replacing my bubble teacups from DAVIDsTEA since I had an unfortunate mishap in the morning that resulted in one of the teacups breaking. Nooo! I was looking online to see if they still had them in stock, but unfortunately they didn’t. However, while I was browsing the site I noticed that they finally have their own rewards program now called Frequent Steeper! I’ve been waiting for this day to come and it finally has! Yay~

Aside from being the first to know about new products and promotions, their new rewards program gives you a chance to collect points to redeem towards free tea. You can also redeem for a free cup of tea upon signing up and another on your birthday as well. Excellent! Not to mention that the membership cards are super cute to boot. [Where were you when I had massive online hauls when I was just starting to get into your products?! Haha.]

I dropped by a store on the way home from work to check if they had the glass bubble teacups in stock, but no such luck there either. Oh well, guess I’ll keep an eye out for them. I did end up getting my card there and claming my free cup of Butterfly Jasmine to go, so it was still a good quick stop at the store. Mmm mmm, good. Also, I was informed that their new summer collection will be coming out around May 7th! Definitely looking forward to what DAVIDsTEA has up their sleeves for this upcoming season.

Any other tea lovers out there? What are your faves?

The Cooking Diaries: Crispy Coconut Shrimp

Crispy Coconut Shrimp

One of my favourite things to get at one of the seafood restaurants we frequent (for $1 Oyster Thursdays! Yummm) is their coconut shrimp. I was craving for it this week and my boyfriend wanted us to cook something as well on his day off. We decided to try out this recipe to see if we can find a similar recipe… and success! We found one.

From Alice Fazooli’s to Scaddabush: Our First Look

Scaddabush!

Welcome the new Italian Kitchen & Bar in town, Scaddabush!

Scadda-what? Apparently, the word is synonymous to “a little bit of this, a little bit of that”. From freshly made mozzarella cheese and made-to-order pastas, there is a little bit of everything to check out at this new concept restaurant. Out with the old, and in with the new. Well… maybe not everything old. [They kept their Tiramisu, but now it’s presented differently. Mmm, tiramisu.]

Summerlicious TO 2013: Bloke & 4th

http://www.preencess.net/wp/wp-content/uploads/2013/07/preencess_blokeand4th.jpg

Last week, we checked out Bloke & 4th for this year’s Summerlicious with some friends. If you don’t already know, Toronto has two great events for “foodies” every year during summer and winter for a select period of time. A nice selection of restaurants offer Prix Fixe menus for lunch and/or dinner and is a great time to go around and discover the wonderful cuisine this city has to offer. We haven’t been to Bloke before, but had a pleasant first experience at this resto-lounge.
