Tutorial: The Face!

First, start with a clean, moisturized face. Wash it, use toner if needed, and your face lotion of choice. Wait for the lotion to dry for a minute or two.

-

Next, take your concealer (I use MAC Select Cover up in NC30) to cover dark circles under your eyes as well as any blemishes or problem spots on the face.

-

Pat (do not rub!) the concealer under your eyes and onto any blemishes. Keep patting until well blended. Use your ring finger for light pressure (although I always end up using my middle finger since I got used to it)

Use a sponge to continue blending concealer well into your face. Keep patting until satisfied, or until all the icky redness goes away.

-

Next, take your foundation of choice (I use id BareMinerals in Light) and take your 190 Foundation Brush. Put some of this powder on the lid, swirl your brush in it, tap of the excess, and buff onto the skin (swirl, tap, buff as recommended by BareMinerals)

I usually put the powder on the problem areas first, under the eyes and over any blemishes. Blend in well. (Looks like I'm a little red around the nose today! Hello, Rudolph?)

-

Next, take your 129 Powder Brush, and do the same as above, only using very little powder. Apply all over face to even out everything. Don't layer it on too much if possible.

Use a circular motion with the 129 brush to buff it into skin in order to give you an even look. Buff buff buff until you have done your whole face.

At this point (or earlier), I take some Vaseline to moisturize my lips. Do this as early as you can remember (hehe) so that your lips get moisturized as you apply the rest of your makeup
